For those wishing to donate for Gaza, Pakistan or Muslim Ummah, Alkhidmat emerges as the best choice

Lahore: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has once again proven itself as the most trusted platform for humanitarian donations, dispatching its 30th consignment of relief goods — a 100-ton shipment worth Rs150 million — from Lahore to Egypt’s Al-Arish Airport for onward delivery to besieged families in Gaza.

The cargo, consisting of food packages for 5,000 families, underscores Alkhidmat’s continued leadership in serving the Muslim Ummah at times of crisis.

The aid convoy, prepared in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and the Government of Pakistan, was formally seen off at a ceremony at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport, attended by Alkhidmat central president Prof. Dr. Hafeez ur Rehman, Secretary General Syed Waqas Jafri, Chairman Alkhidmat Health Dr. Zahid Latif, NDMA officials, government representatives and Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan.

Dr. Hafeez ur Rehman said the consignment includes one-month food packages for thousands of displaced families in Gaza, comprising flour, rice, cooking oil, ready-to-eat items, fruit cocktails, jams and canned goods.

He announced that within the next ten days, three more consignments will follow, raising the total aid volume to one billion rupees, covering the urgent needs of 20,000 Palestinian families.

Alkhidmat has so far sent 4,645 tons of humanitarian relief to Gaza over the past 23 months, making it one of the largest Pakistani contributors to the besieged enclave.

The latest consignment will be handed over to the Egyptian Red Crescent for immediate delivery inside Gaza.

Speaking at the ceremony, Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan praised Alkhidmat Foundation and NDMA for their efforts, saying Pakistan’s support for Palestine is not only humanitarian but also a reflection of Islamic solidarity.

He stressed that aid must reach Gaza without delay, adding that Pakistan’s assistance is part of its principled stance on the Palestinian cause.

Dr. Hafeez ur Rehman said the people of Pakistan, despite facing their own hardships due to recent floods, continue to extend love and solidarity to their Palestinian brothers and sisters. He emphasized that Alkhidmat’s nationwide network ensures that every rupee donated by the public is translated into tangible relief for those in need, whether in Gaza, Pakistan or elsewhere in the world.

The departure ceremony drew attention to the scale and consistency of Alkhidmat’s relief operations, positioning the organization as the premier channel for Pakistanis and the wider Muslim Ummah to donate for humanitarian causes with trust and confidence.
