Karachi: The dengue outbreak in Sindh continues unabated as another person has lost his life to the virus during the past 24 hours. According to the Sindh Health Department, a 35-year-old man from Hyderabad succumbed to dengue fever.
The latest health report revealed that 5,511 dengue tests were conducted across Sindh in the last 24 hours, out of which 1,130 tested positive for the virus.
In Karachi Division, 3,937 tests were conducted, confirming 527 positive cases, while in Hyderabad Division, 1,574 tests resulted in 603 positive cases.
During the same period, 129 new dengue patients were admitted to government hospitals, while 126 patients were admitted to private healthcare facilities.
Sindh Health Secretary Rehan Baloch expressed concern over the rising trend of dengue cases, urging citizens to adopt preventive measures and ensure the elimination of mosquito breeding sites.
